February Happenings

  • Pageant picture proofs have arrived.  All pageant participants, including escorts, need to pick up your proof from Mrs. Meyer as soon as possible.  Proofs and money MUST be returned to Mrs. Meyer no later than Wednesday, February 17th.
  • Valentines Day is right around the corner.  To help celebrate this day the Beta Club will be selling candy grams for $1.00 beginning Friday through Wednesday.  There will be a table set up at the back of the lunchroom for you to purchase them.  Candy grams will be delivered during 6th period on Thursday, February 11th.
  • New Assignment Policy:
    1. Incomplete or poorly attempted assignments are not acceptable.
    2. If an assignment is not submitted on time, student must turn in the completed assignment by the start of the class on the following school day. The credit will be 50% of the earned grade.
    3. In the event that work is not submitted by the start of class on the following school day, the student will be referred to detention.  While in detention, the student will complete the assignment for no credit.
    4. If the student does not attend detention and complete the assignment, he/she will be referred to the administration for discipline that will include completion of the assignment.  Disciplinary action will not conclude until the assignment has been completed.
    5. Long-term projects may be based on each teacher’s rubric for the project, which will include penalties for late work.
    6. Core academic classes will follow this procedure while Physical Education and elective courses may have exceptions based on their course content.
