Announcements for the Week of

May 12, 2008

• Final report cards will be held pending the return of all textbooks, library books and computer parts.
• The 2008-2009 cheer squad will practice Tuesday, May 13th and Thursday, May 15th from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.  Girls should report to Mrs. Scott’s room immediately after school.
• The library is closed for inventory on May 12th.
• Varsity and Jr. High cross-country teams will have a meeting May 15th at 6:00 p.m. in the CMS new gym.
• CMS volleyball tryouts will be today (5/12) in the boys’ gym from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
• Wallace State is sponsoring Summer Youth College – from June 16-20 for students in grades 7-9.  Cost varies according to class from $25 - $50.  All participants will receive a free t-shirt.  The deadline for registration is May 23rd.  Contact Mary Hall at 352-8243 to register.  Courses include – Fun with Computers, Computer Scrapbooking, Beauty and Grace, CSI, Cake Decorating, Nose for News, Photographing Bugs, Fun with Art, Cartoon Art, Graphic Art Design, Scrapbooking, and Robot Mania.
• PTO t-shirts are now on sale for $10.00.  See display in the office.
• The high school library has a limited number of copies of the 9th grade English summer reading novels that they may check out to read during the summer.  The library will be open during summer school hours at CHS for students, including upcoming 9th grade students who want to check out books for assignments or for pleasure reading.
• Youth for Christ meets each Friday morning at 7:20 in front of the girls gym. Also, check out the new Youth for Christ page in the menu.
