Cullman Middle School Library Website Access CMS Library's flexible scheduling allows us to cater to class, small group, and individual use of the library throughout the day. Our hours are Monday - Friday from 7:45-3:15. We have 14,000+ volumes available for student use. In addition to our current periodical subscriptions, we have access to the Alabama Virtual Library on six Internet workstations. Videos, DVDs, and audio materials are also an integral part of our collection. Students may check out up to five books at one time if they do not have any overdue books. The check out time for most books is two weeks, but students may renew materials as needed. Some reference books may be checked out overnight. Others are restricted to library use only. Student suggestions for library materials are welcome. Cullman Middle School Library follows the Cullman City Board of Education Selection Policy. CMS students use the Reading Counts! reading enhancement program through their English and reading classes. The Cullman County Public Library often works with the CMS library to provide materials to our students. They are also a great source for summer reading. Their hours and other information may be found at http://www.ccpls.com.
Afternoon Library Use Students may use the library from 3:15-4:00 for the following reasons ONLY: If the Internet is not available at home, students may use it for assignments or to access D2L—students may not use the time for anything other than school work. They will be asked to present the assignment they are working on. The library is not open for homework that does not require D2L or Internet access, recreational reading, RC testing after 3:15, browsing the Internet or waiting on a ride. Students will be asked to leave if they are not following these guidelines.
